On Bulb Planting Day, Caroline, our gardener, led 20 volunteers planting snowdrops, daffodils, tulips, miniature iris, wood anemone and allium. We hope the squirrels don’t dig them up! Just in case, some bulbs were planted in pots and safely stored in our greenhouse. Volunteers without gardens were given daffodil bulbs in pots, to grow on their window sills at home. Homemade cakes and tea were enjoyed by all.

On Saturday 20^th November, 10am – 4pm, we need volunteers to help with leaf gathering to make ‘leafmould’, our own compost.

Workdays are open to everyone, not just Garden members. New volunteers are welcome. Gardening experience is not necessary.

Come along to Islington Gardeners Autumn plant sale at Olden Garden. Enjoy tea and cakes. And please bring cash and bags in which to put your plants.

As a volunteer at our workdays you do not need to be a member. And gardening experience is not necessary; our gardener and regular volunteers will guide you. We will be open from 10am – 4pm on Tuesdays. Saturday workday starts at 10am with end of session to be decided.
