Join us for volunteer day on Saturday 19 March

Come along and join Caroline, our gardener, on Saturday 19 March, any time between 10am-4pm. Lots of volunteer tasks are available. We will be tidying the woodland, reducing unwanted saplings and cutting some of the ivy growing on trees.

Coffee and cake will be provided.

Remember to wear suitable footwear and if possible bring your own gloves.

Daffodils are everywhere! You can also find Anemone blanda (blue), Corsican hellebores, Camellia, and Leucojum (snowflakes). And you might even see a great spotted woodpecker!

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers!

Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who have been helping our gardeners Maria and Caroline. Volunteers have now tidied up after the stormy weather and are working in the woodland, reducing unwanted saplings and cutting some of the ivy growing on trees. We have planted a plum tree generously donated by a neighbour and we sowed wild flowers in the meadow.

More volunteers are welcome – every Tuesday and the third Saturday in the month. Coffee and cake provided!

Come and volunteer in the Garden on Saturday 26th February

Come along and join Caroline, our gardener, on Saturday 26th February, any time between 10am-4pm. Could you help with some volunteer tasks, including rose and apple tree pruning, or sowing seeds to prepare for spring/summer flowers? We will provide materials and instructions for your family to make bird feeders. Coffee and cake/biscuits will be provided.

Preparing the Garden for the winter months

Our Autumn Gardening Day was a great success! Lots of volunteers came along. We planted colourful winter pansies and cyclamen and gave the garden a good tidy. Thank you to all who helped to sweep and gather the fallen leaves. And our younger helpers did a brilliant job of stomping on top of the leaf piles!

The Garden will go to sleep for a bit during the winter. But keep a watch for the early spring bulbs planted by our volunteers.
