The grass seed is sprouting well – and the netting is protecting it from the foxes!

Organised through the BIG Alliance, a team of volunteers from NHS Property Services demolished an old retaining wall and rebuilt it using reclaimed railway sleepers.

On Saturday 20 October, please come along any time between 10am – 4pm, for our Open Day. Visit the Garden. Plant spring bulbs. Children’s activities will be available. A great opportunity to make new friends and learn more about Olden Garden. Coffee and cake provided.

At the Islington in Bloom 2025 Awards Ceremony at The Charterhouse, Olden Garden won Gold and 3rd Place for Best Community Garden. We were also thrilled to win the Nancy Pattenden Wildlife Award. We also received Silver Gilt for Best Edible Garden. Huge thank you to Ruby and Caroline and all our volunteer gardeners for making this happen!
